The new Government is being called on to intervene and save a transport service for people with disabilities in Clare.
The Disabled People Of Clare's door-to-door service – which is used by 27 people in the county – is due to end by the 20th of this month due to a lack of funding.

Recent changes to eligibility for VRT refund, HSE grants and a drastic reduction in the number of staff available through the Community Employment Scheme mean that the cost of running the service has spiralled to an estimated 93-thousand euros per year.
However, Cooraclare Councillor Bill Chambers claims the benefits to those using it far outweigh the costs.
