The jurors in David Mahon’s murder trial have asked for a block of knives from his kitchen to be brought into the jury room.
Mr. Mahon denies murdering his stepson Dean Fitzpatrick on the landing outside his apartment at Northern Cross, Dublin 17 in May 2013.

The 45-year-old claims Dean took a knife from the block and later walked into it during a confrontation after he took it from him.
He told Gardai he threw the knife out a car window after leaving the complex shortly afterwards.
The jurors have also requested another knife that was found on the balcony of the apartment to be brought to them.
Before beginning their deliberations yesterday, the six men and six women were told they could consider the lesser charge of manslaughter.
