UL Hospitals Group has committed to upgrading facilities at Ennis General Hospital.
Funding has been secured for improvements to the hospital's Local Injuries Unit, while there are also plans in place for upgraded theatre and outpatients services.

It follows calls by the INMO for additional resources to be made available for staff in Ennis to deal with a recent increase in trolley numbers there.
