The CEO of UL Hospitals group is confident the New Emergency Department in Limerick will open in March of next year.
The facility in Dooradoyle is to be three times the size of the current ED, which is regularly among the most overcrowded in the country.

Until now, the group had only committed to having it open in the "first quarter" of 2017.
However, Colette Cowan says the contractors on site have been set a March deadline to deliver on the project
