A West Clare Councillor claims there's an urgent need for funding to be provided to carry out repairs on a road in Kilkee.
It's claimed that up to 50,000 people use the Circular Road each year, while the route is also an important access road to Loop Head Lighthouse.

However, parts of the route are in a poor state and Councillor Gabriel Keating says some sections are in urgent need of resurfacing.
The Fine Gael representative has also expressed fears that the poor road surface could hurt tourism.
