New figures show growth in Clare’s car industry is in line with other counties.
Fresh statistics from the The Society of the Irish Motor Industry show a 27% rise in the new car registrations in Co. Clare so far in 2016

The SIMI survey shows that there were just short of 2200 new car sales here in the first four months of the year, compared to just over 1700 during the same period last year.
This rate of increase (just under 27%) – is broadly in line with the national rise of 26%.
In total just over 93,000 new car had been sold in Ireland by the end of the last month and SIMI is predicting registrations to at least top 150,000 this year.
