Calls have been made for Clare's illegal dumpers to be publicly shamed.
Local representatives have called for the Council here to follow in the lead of Dublin City Council, who recently erected posters at dumping blackspots featuring pixelated CCTV images of people involved in the practice.

Here, the local authority has been urged to follow suit, but officials say the plan presents a number of difficulties including that it would be difficult to implement in a rural area.
Meelick Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe feels it could be a real deterrent if these issues can be overcome.
