War Of words Erupts Between Local Sinn Féin and Fianna Fáil Figures

A war of words has erupted between a local Sinn Féin figure and Clare's Fianna Fáil TD.

Noeleen Moran claims that two of the county's oireachtas members, including Timmy Dooley, have betrayed the mandate given to them by the people of Clare by propping up Fine Gael.

Noeleen Moran, who ran in the general election for Sinn Féin, says people here and across the country voted to keep Fine Gael out of power.

Howver, with Enda Kenny back in office and leading a new minority government, she also says that Clare Independet Michael Harty and Fianna Fáil's Timmy Dooley have betrayed this mandate from the people.

She's described the relationship between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael as a "coalition by way of the back door" and insists that Clare has no opposition TD as a result of that.

The North Clare woman inists that Timmy Dooley's party has failed to deliver on pre-election promises.

But Deputy Timmy Dooley has rejected this saying the decision on whether water charges will ever emerge again will now be a decision for the Dáil but he believes they're now a thing of the past.

Deputy Dooley believes that Sinn Féin's failure to make electoral gains has clearly caused "upset" within the party.
