A Clonlara Councillor believes a lucrative foreign trade may be driving a spate of post box robberies in Clare.
Michael Begley says he's been informed of five such thefts along stretches of road between Feakle and Limerick in recent months.

The Head of Clare's Garda Division John Kerin has said the force are aware of the robberies and are investigating.
Councillor Begley thinks many of the post boxes end up overseas.
