The CEO of the Clare Local Development Company is welcoming a decision on the distribution of almost nine million euro in LEADER funding in the county.
The CLDC entered into a competitive process with the Council-run Local Community Development Committee after government policy transferred the management of the LEADER programme to local authorities.
The new programme, which will run until 2020, will now get underway here in July, and will help fund projects throughout the county.
Head of the CLDC Doirin Graham says it's good news for the organisation and the community.

The Chief Officer of Clare County Council's Local Community Development Committee has expressed disappointment over the outcome.
But Monica Meehan is welcoming progress on getting the programme underway in the county.
