A Clare anti-water charges campaigner says the cancellation of thousands of direct debits has signalled the end of Irish Water.
Figures released by parent company Ervia today show almost two thirds of people have paid their Irish Water charges by the end of the first year of billing.

But the water utility lost almost 10 million euro in revenue in the last bill cycle as thousands of customers stopped paying their bill.
