A teenager has been arrested in connection with a murder in Northern Ireland overnight.
The 16 year old was detained following the death of a 24 year old man in Derry.
Emergency services were called to the scene of an assault in the Milldale Crescent area of Derry at about 10.25 last night.
Two 24 year old men were rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries in an attack – one of the men later passed away.
Detectives arrested a 16 year old shortly after Midnight in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody.
The PSNI says the teenager is assisting them with their inquiries.
The second man is understood to have suffered non life threatening injuries to his head.
Investigating officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
