Nurses say a committment from the HSE that all vacant Emergency Department posts will be filled is positive news for patients and staff in the Mid-West region.
The commitment comes despite a recent announcement to pause recruitment and provides for the filling of over 144 posts in emergency departments across the country.

The confirmation, that all posts will be filled, was given during the third review of the Emergency Department Agreement, which was chaired by the Workplace Relations Commission.
INMO Midwest Industrial Relations Officer Mary Fogarty says hiring of staff will go some way towards addressing the overcrowding crisis.
