There's renewed concerns that out-of-hours GP services in Kilrush are being scaled back.
Councillor Ian Lynch believes the Shannondoc service was reduced considerably last weekend leading to a number of people having to travel to Ennis for treatment.

The Independent Councillor says it's vital that the current service is retained and that measures are taken to ensure an expansion of services at all centres in the future.
Councillor Lynch says people in the area are worried that the service is being wound down.
