The Dail has decided to formally suspend water charges and set up a special commission to look into the matter.
The measure was one of those agreed by Fianna Fail and Fine Geal as part of Government formation talks.

However, Fianna Fail is facing criticism after it abstained on a vote to immediately scrap water charges.
