Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region's main hospital has dropped significantly today.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 12 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 6 of those in the emergency department.

Today, 224 people are waiting for beds at hospitals across the country, the worst affected is the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
