Amazon has announced 500 new jobs for its European hub in Dublin.
The positions will be at a number of data centres across the capital.
Amazon is hiring 500 new technicians, software engineers, and customer support staff over the next two years.
The new positions are in addition to the 17 hundred staff that the tech firm already employs here in Ireland.
CEO of the IDA says Amazon's expansion here is an endorsement for the quality of tech workers available.
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny today welcomed the today's announcement, saying the new jobs are testament to Ireland's reputation as a leading European location for the technology and digital industries.
But the Minister for Jobs and Enterprise Mary Mitchell O'Connor, says we can't get complacent.
