There's been a rise in the number of people on the live register in the region in the past month.
Figures from the CSO show there 25,276 people claiming some form of unemployment benefit in the Mid-West in May, a rise of 110 on the previous month.

The figures largely reflect the national trend, with the South West the only region to see a decrease in live reigister figures in April.
But, the number of people signing on in the region remains 10% lower than this time last year
