An Clare project has been honoured at this year's Traveller Pride Awards.
"Songstories" seeks to help enhance the mental and physical health of young Travellers in the county, by providing access to high quality music education.
The programme is run under the guidance of Clare’s Music Education Programme "Music Generation" and has brought together 9 youngsters from two seperate projects based in Ennis.
It was co-ordinated, organised, facilitated, hosted and run by Ennis Community Development Project, and their Peer Support Project, in collaboration with Music Generation, Clare.
Now in their 7th year, the Traveller Pride Awards recognise the achievements and contributions Travellers make to their own community and to Irish society.
The Clare group secured the top award in the music section.
