Clare County Fire Service is reminding people that the current period of warm, dry weather has increased the risk of gorse fires.
The period between February and June are considered the most dangerous time for forest fires.

And while rains are forecast for much of the country today, Clare is not included in a Met Eireann-issued warning for thunderstorms so the dangers remain heightened.
There has already been one large blaze in the County this year when a significant amount of forestry was destroyed in Lissycasey in April.
