Campaigners in Crusheen say they will continue their fight for a rial stop to be re-opened.
The government says its focussing capital investment in the rail network on existing lines, in a bid to ensure their safety and efficiency.

It has also warned that, particularly in the short to medium term, Exchequer funds are unlikely to be made available to open new stations.
