The Minister for Foreign Affairs says todays report by the Police Ombudsman of Northern Ireland on the Loughinisland murders must be carefully examined, with a view to possible further investigations and possible prosecutions.
Charlie Flanagan says the Ombudsman's findings are deeply disturbing – in particular his determination that "collusion is a significant feature of the Loughinisland murders".

The investigation found security forces in the North colluded with loyalist terrorists in a gun attack that killed six Catholic men in County Down in 1994.
