Clare Gardaí are advising motorists to be on the look out for cyclists this week as National Bike Week gets underway.
Funded and co-ordinated by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, the event will see some 400 cycling events taking place across the country this week.

Locally, a range of events for all ages including family fun cycles, a schools awareness programme, bike fixing workshops and a Primary School Poster Competition is taking place.
Superintendent Brendan McDonagh of Ennis Garda Station, says both motorists and cyclists alike should take extra precautions on the roads.
