A Springfield resident is calling for a co-ordinated approach towards preventing future flooding along the River Shannon.
Geraldine Quinlivan attended an Open Day organised by the Shannon Flood Risk State Agency on Friday and was disappointed to find various agencies operating at separate stands, rather than sitting around the same table.

Geraldine, who was forced to abandon her home during the heavy rainfall of last Winter, says she also found out about the meeting at very short notice.
Funding is to be sought to appoint a consultant to explore the best way of tackling South East Clare's flooding problems and Geraldine wants progress to be made as quickly as possible.
