Clare County Council says it's satisfied that a council worker, who drove over Latoon Bridge in a heavy vehicle yesterday despite an ongoing weight restriction, did so in error.

The incident occured at around 12 noon in the midst of a protest over the possible closure of the bridge by the local authority due to the number of people ignoring the 3.5 tonne restriction.
In a statement to Clare FM, the Council says the driver took the wrong exit at Dromoland due to confusion arising out of ongoing roadworks there.
Clarecastle Councillor Paul Murphy says he's disappointed by the incident.
