Ennis Chamber says uncertainty surrounding a possible Brexit is worrying for businesses.

It comes as the Taoiseach is visiting the UK today to try to influence the outcome of the referendum.

After Bob Geldof's high-profile clash with Nigel Farage on the River Thames yesterday, today another Irishman is doing his bit to advocate a 'remain' vote in seven days time.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is speaking at public events in Liverpool and Manchester in the hope of convincing Irish expat voters to stay in the EU.

Labour leader Brendan Howlin is also in Liverpool today – and says the EU's problems are more easily fixed if the UK stays in.

The latest poll-of-polls shows that the leave side is marginally ahead by 45 per cent to 43, with the remainder undecided.

Pro-Brexit campaigners claim the Irish government is scaremongering and interfering in British domestic affairs, but Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly Kelly believes Enda Kenny is obliged to present his views to Irish people living there.

A number of International businesses are located in Clare and the CEO of Ennis Chamber says uncertainty surrounding the Brexit is causing worry for them and other businesses who have an international market.

But Rita McInerney believes businesses will adapt in order to deal with any changes.
