Warnings Over Knotweed In Clare

Concern is being raised over the prevalence of Japanese Knotweed in the Kilkee and Lissycassey areas.

It comes as Kerry County Council has put 100,000 euro aside this year to tackle the problem of the invasive weed, while one local councillor there has suggested that people could cook and eat it.

Now authorities in Clare also been urged to do something to address the spread of the species in this county.
