A North Clare Councillor is seeking clarity on when a so-called masterplan for Doolin Pier will be completed.
Consultants have been appointed by Clare County Council to draw up the plan of a new visitor services building and a number of other shoreline facilities, while a public consultation process has also begun.

At the monthly meeting of the Council, Richard Nagle asked if the consultants had been given a deadline for when the plan should be finished, however he was told that no such date exists.
Councillor Nagle fears the possibility of the project being put on the long finger.
