The new Cathaoirleach of the Shannon Municipal District believes the introduction of two new winter routes from the county's airport will go a long way towards securing further growth for the region.
Ryanair is expected to announce the resumption of flights between Shannon and Malaga on the Costa Del Sol for the first time in seven years as well as winter flights to Fuertaventura.
