The Irish Farmers Association says the minimisation of any barriers to trade between Ireland and Northern Ireland is one of its main priorities, and it's seeking agreement and certainty on the EU and CAP budget up until 2020.

Willie Hanrahan says there's shock within the whole industry here and he insists that continued access to the UK market is essential.

Meanwhile, a new poll here in Clare shows that a large portion of people in the Banner County are also concerned about the outcome of the referendum.

Over 250 people have taken part in a poll on the Clare FM website, in which they've been asked for their views on the impact of Britain's exit from the EU on Ireland.

46% of respondents say they're very worried, while another 29% have said they're somewhat concerned.

Only 20% aren't worried, while 5% said they don't know
