The Bishop-elect of the Killaloe Diocese says he's overwhelmed by the level of support that he's received from the people of Clare.
Pope Francis confirmed the appointment of Fr Fintan Monahan on Friday, who takes up the role 18 months after Kieran o'Reilly left to become Archbishop of Cashel and Emly.

Fr Monahan was chaplain to Saint Jarlaith's College and served as secretary of the Tuam diocese for ten years.
