A service which helps people who are having problems with their tenancy is being extended.
Threshold's Tenancy Protection Service – which already operates in Dublin and Cork – opens in Galway today, and will also cover Mayo and Roscommon.

The organisation aims to prevent homelessness and provide advice to people who are having trouble paying rent.
It comes as the government yesterday announced detailed plans for tackling homelessness.
