A Garda investigation is underway following the discovery of what's believed to be a human bone in South East Clare.
Gardaí in Arnacrusha were alerted around 1.30 yesterday afternoon after a suspected shin bone was discovered on land near a river in Doonass, Clonlara.

The scene was sealed off to facilitate a forensic examination and officers examined and photographed the site.
The bone was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick where further tests are due to be carried out to establish whether the remains are human.
