The Irish Blood Transfusion service is appealing to people in Bunratty and the surrounding areas to make a special effort to give blood over the coming days.
The IBTS says donor attendance at clinics has dropped significantly this week on account of the huge attendance at the National Ploughing Championships.

The service aims to hold seven days supply across all blood groups but now only has a four day supply.
Area Manager Aileen Brown says it can be a difficult time of year for IBTS.
