Kuwait Airways is to increase its number of transit flights through Shannon Airport.
The airline began a three-times weekly service in June, which has seen passengers flying from Kuwait to New York stop over in Shannon for passenger and baggage screening.

It was to run for an initial four-month period, but has now been extended until February and will increase to six-times per week.
The service does not pick up any passengers at Shannon.
