They've also confirmed next week's budget will include measures to deal with the risks of Britain leaving the EU.

The government is going to intensify its preparations for Brexit in the coming weeks, according to Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald.

Meanwhile, Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey says he's confident of the best possible outcome for our country and Europe as a result of negotiations surrounding Brexit.

Fears have been expressed over the impact on trade and tourism but Deputy Carey believes Ireland is ready to meet the challenges presented by Britain's exit from the EU.
