The HSE says significant progress has been made in clearing the waiting list for home help and homecare packages in Clare.
Last month, 389 people in the Mid-West were waiting for the service but in the past fortnight, funding has been approved for 100 people, almost two thirds of those from Clare.

The organisation has acknowledge public concern over the availability of services but is emphasising that despite challenges on resources and demand, new cases are being responded to.
CHO Area 3 Chief Officer, Bernard Gloster says the situation is improving.
