Nurses say 52 people are waiting for beds at the region's main hospital today.
Figures from the INMO show University Hospital Limerick is suffering from the highest level of overcrowding in the country once again today with 37 people on trolleys in the emergency department and a further 15 in overflow areas of wards.

Overall 400 people are waiting for admission at hospitals across the country
Cork University Hospital is the second busiest, where 39 people are waiting for beds.
