Authorities in Rio have yet to acknowledge an application by Pat Hickey to get his passport back.
The former President of the Olympic Council of Ireland has asked the courts to return his I.D. so he can return home while he awaits his trial on ticket touting charges.

Mr Hickey was arrested during this year's Games but a court date has yet to be set.
Irish Times columnist Ian O'Riordan says Mr Hickey's lawyers are getting worried about him.
