Morning Focus Tuesday January 31

An emergency meeting of the Western Inter-County Rail committee was held last Friday in Claremorris in response to recent reporting on the Western Rail Corridor
There have been complaints that the coverage failed to report what they describe as the underselling of the service (for example not being possible to purchase ticket online) and that fares are higher on WRC than for comparable journeys elsewhere
On Tuesday’s Morning Focus John Cooke spoke with Brian Meaney, Green Party Councillor and Coleman O’Raghallaigh of West on Track and Barry Kenny of Irish Rail on the concerns raised.

During his time the court sat in many unusual venues such as hairdressers, a graveyard, pubs and a tin shed in Ballybunion
It was minor criminal cases and civil law for the most part
He joined John for a chat and shared many amusing stories and some ones that have never left his memory.
