The Campaign Against Household & Water Taxes (CAHWT) have stated that Minister Hogan’s comments about rewarding councils who ‘pull out all the stops’ to collect the Household Tax would create massive inequality between wealthy and poorer council areas

On Monday’s Morning Focus Marian Egan spoke with Chris Quin of the Clare Anti Household Charge Campaign about their next step.

Since close of business yesterday in excess of 800,000 households had registered and paid the charge
Minister Phil Hogan yesterday thanked all those householders who had carried out their patriotic duty and paid the charge

Clare has been selected for this unique GAA pilot training programme designed to up skill coaches in the area of alcohol awareness, education and intervention
25 coaches in Clare will participate in the training this evening in the Auburn Lodge Hotel, Ennis at 7pm

In Jan 2011 Lily O’Donoghue of the Clare Local Development Company put an ad in the paper for an Ennis Parent Support Group
She had done the same in Kilrush (West Clare Voices for Autism)
EVA is a free support group for parents of children with any ASD- they meet on the first Thursday of every month – new members are welcome
The aim is to highlight the increased prevalence of autism worldwide, improve understanding and to emphasise the importance of early diagnosis and intervention
