Breastcheck has finally started rolling out in Clare.
The north of the county is being targeted first with letters sent out to three hundred women in this area and appointments due to begin next month.
They will be treated by the Breastcheck Western Unit until the mobile digital screening service for Clare is up and running at a later point in the year.
The service will remain in the county until all eligible woman aged 50 to 64 have been invited for screening.
