Chair of Clare's Housing Policy Committee doesn't believe we will see any social housing built by the Local Authority in 2017.

Clare County Council says 47 new units have been approved by the Housing Department in 2016, with an estimated budget of 10.8 million euro.
There are over 2,000 people currently on the social housing list and the local authority has committed to continuing it's efforts to reduce that number.
But Shannon Independent Councillor Gerry Flynn says the Government isn't playing it's part in helping with the construction of new accommodation.
