The latest figures from the INMO shows 44 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 31 of those in the emergency department.
It comes as a prominent nursing home in Clare has offered six beds to UHL as part of a proposal by Nursing Homes Ireland to use available nursing homes beds for patients. Valerie Vaughan, CEO Carrigoran House near Newmarket on Fergus, contacted the hospital to say there were beds available at the facility.
