The code sets out 9 standards the Gardai should stick by when carrying out their jobs.
These include a duty to uphold the law, commitments to honesty and integrity and a greater focus on transparency in the organisation.
There's also a focus on reporting wrongdoings after a number of whistle blower scandals within An Garda Siochana.
It's part of their new code of ethics, which was launched this morning.
It says unethical behavior should never be ignored, regardless of the rank of the officer involved.
