There have been calls for Enda Kenny to cancel his trip in March, as a mark of protest against Donald Trump's immigration bans.
Mr. Kenny's spokesperson said he'll continue to act in the interests of Irish people and raise issues such as business and economic ties, immigration and other matters of common interest.
It comes as British Prime Minister Theresa May ordered her Foreign and Home Secretaries to phone their US counterparts to discuss the travel ban.
