An Ennis man is running a 200 kilometer stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way to raise awareness and funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Tommy Lanigan, whose daughter was hospitalized with listeria meningitis after birth, is attempting to run from Labasheeda to New Quay between the 24th and 29th of March.
Mr Lanigan says he's been contacted already by families who have suffered because of the disease.
