Motorists are being advised of traffic delays on the main route to Shannon Airport.
It follows a two-car crash on the N19 at the Shannon Town roadabout at around twenty past seven this morning.
Emergency services including Clare County Fire and Rescue Service, Gardaí and Ambulance remain at the scene.

A number of people are being treated for minor injuries.
Motorists are being asked to allow extra time for their journey, to slow down and drive with care in the area as bad weather conditions has led to poor visibility.
