Further Stormont Talks To Be Held On Monday

The main political parties in the North have been invited to participate in further political talks at Stormont on Monday.

Earlier this week, the Northern Ireland secretary, James Brokenshire, gave the parties until after Easter to reach a deal after the deadline to form a new administration passed on Monday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs says the aim of the talks is to allow the political parties reach an agreement on the formation of a new Executive and to address the implementation of outstanding issues.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs here, Charlie Flanagan, says he believes it is critically important to see devolved Government restored and working effectively in the interests of the people of Northern Ireland.
