A West Clare Councillor has claimed there is a new ‘Pale’ in Clare.
Lissycasey Fianna Fáil representative PJ Kelly has described Ennis as the ‘Banner Pale’, as he claimed that the county town is hoovering up funding that has been allocated by Clare County Council.
The local authority has released figures showing near 1.2 million euro in planning contributions was spent in the last two years.

€943,000 of this was spent on projects in Ennis town.
Councillor Kelly believes rural Clare is getting a raw deal.
